We went to Geoff Simpson's campaign kickoff dinner last night - one of the better political events we've attended - and I was kidding Noemi Maxwell about missing my fundraiser by going to Hawaii on vacation, and she whipped out her checkbook and made me a donation right there! My first political donation - oh no, I hope the money doesn't corrupt me!

Of course, now we can't figure out when the fundraiser will be - last night, we scheduled it for June 27, then I got home and realized that's Pride day, so that won't work. The chorus participates in the parade and then performs one song at the rally that afternoon, which won't leave much time for a barbecue unless we do it in the evening. So maybe we can reschedule for July 11.
